I just Adore this little family. Mom was James' Preschool teach last year and we loved her and her son who was in his class. On the last day of class, they got a call and adopted the sweetest baby girl {who's newborn pics I took back in May}. So, I was so super excited to get to shoot the whole family! Mini Sessions.

So in attempt to simply life, I am offering Fall Mini Sessions. Hopefully this will be a fun way for everyone to get their pictures done and have that one picture for Christmas Cards without all the stress and pressure. I don't know about everyone else, but last December was crammed full of way too much stuff. I had last minute sessions, the hubs tithing settlement appointments that went on and on and on and ..., decorating, gift making/shopping, treats made and delivered...well you get the idea. In the mayhem of everything, I felt like we missed out on so much of enjoying the Spirit of Christmas. So I am determined to make December all about Christ and enjoying the magic with my boys. I plan to have all gifts made/bought by November, the house decorated by Thanksgiving {we will be out of town the whole week so won't it be perfect to come home to Christmas???} and photo sessions done, edited and people already puttin their Christmas cards in the mail by December 1st. Ideal, right? I think so. So here's the scoop. In October I have set aside 3 afternoons. 2 Thursdays and 1 saturday. 2.5 hours of 25 minute sessions each day. Each day will be at a determined location and will run straight from 3:00pm to 5:30pm. I will take suggestions from each family on a location and then make the final decision prior to the session. Depending on the demand, I may do a few more days in November, but why wait? October is the perfect weather:) Phew...did that cover everything??? If not shoot me an email or text me. 376.4578 and let's get booking! *If the interest is there, I will be willing to schedule a day or two in Alamo also. So spread the word.

For my Birthday this year, I wanted some new family pictures taken. So while up in Alamo that weekend, we decided it was a good time to do it. We weren't in any hurry which was a HUGE mistake and ended up out in the scorching, humid heat at NOON!!! Not smart and NOT fun. So, here is the best I got with the heat and a tripod:) Thanks to my mom for coming along and braving the heat to press the button for me!

This little babers is one lucky lady. She is the sweet daughter of James' Preschool teacher {whom we absolutely adored!} They found out on monday that they had been chosen to be her adoptive parents and on wednesday recieved a phone call telling them to come meet their daughter. After 3 years of waiting to adopt, I can't even imagine what that phone call felt like! I was so flattered and excited when called and asked me to come take some pictures of that sweet wrinkly newborn skin. awwww, heaven.

I could write a novel about this family. We go wayyyyy back, okay so we're related! Meg and I grew up together and spent countless hours playing office and church at Aunt Donna's-where Meg was always first to give her talk {that went on for a good hour} and then I was next {and usually took a good 45 minutes} and by the time it was her sister Cal's turn, we were bored and moved on! hahaha {the times of our talks may be a "bit" exaggerated, but only a bit!} There are also the many, many stories of us chasing boys--her hubs included. We may or may not have given him a DOG one Valentines Day! We were the girls I DREAD as a mother of boys:) Hahaha, but seriously they have the cutest story and the cutest family. We had so much fun and they were up for whatever I asked them to do--walk through the manure, hike across a field, and a roadtrip. Thanks for the fun guys!

I Love this family! When they moved into our ward, Meg and I became instant friends. We kept trying to figure out how we knew each other, because it just felt like we'd known each other for forever. Well, now they are moving back to Utah:( I'm so happy for them and so sad for me. hahaha. We are going to miss them but will definetly stay in touch. After all James and Mattee are gettin' hitched one day-and no they have no say in the matter. Anyway here are a few pictures I got last week when we went out to play. We had so much fun, we are meeting up with them again at the same place--the ladybug breeding ground. Seriously, they are EVERYWHERE! Well, off to our picnic.

When I heard that the canvaspeople were giving away a free canvas for Mother's Day, I knew I had to have one. So I took some shots of my favorite victims, er subjects and put this together. I then decided an 8x10 would not be big enough for me...my motto-GO BIG OR GO HOME! So, instead of paying to upgrade to a bigger canvas AND super expensive shipping, I'm opting to go with my new love--the styrene print. So clean. Can't wait to get this baby and hang it on my wall to *swoon* over each and every day:)

Awww. I.heart.thiscutefamily! Amy was so sweet and bid on one of my packages back in January when we were doing an auction to raise money for my sister's FIL who has breast cancer. I was so flattered by her kindness and GENEROSITY of her bid:) Well, they were finally in town {from the east coast!!!} for their oldest daughter's baptism and so we squoze in a day and got together. they were soooo sweet. All their names were easy for me to remember too which was helpful- A James, a Tyler, a Levi, a Emma and a Amy {i have three SIL's named amy a son named james, a brother named Tyler and his son Levi hahaha} oh, and did i mention that we are related??? I had the camera on and he was being silly. And then, he passed a little gas. hahaha. He immediately errupted into giggles and i was able to snag this. Love it.

My friend Nat is expecting a lil girl next month. So for her baby shower, we did a little last minute shoot. She is seriously one of the most photogenic people i have ever met. She is beautiful and prego! Her little boy was so much fun too and helped to keep logan occupied while i did pictures. I can't wait to see this lil girl--if she's half as cute as her big brother--she'll be ADORABLE!!

How cute is this family? I went to school with the son-in-law and was so excited when his super cute wife contacted to do pictures for her whole family. We could never get together over Christmas and had wait till Easter:) We headed up to the "old Thiriot Haunted House". This was a classic place we all went growing up to "scare" each other. There is a long, long, long walk up to a clearing where in a grove of trees stands a falling down old wood house where we imagined a rocking chair slowing creaking by itself, or the "indians" coming out from under the steps to chase us...oh the good ole days. Well, that place has since come to mean a whole to me...my husbands grandfather lived there as a small boy. We have had family reunions up there and talked about all the "real" stories of the Thiriot Ranch. Anyway, pardon the whole tagent...i was thrilled when this was the plac they picked for pictures. Lots of great backdrops! Anyway, hope these were the wait and you likey!

I was so excited when Janelle contacted me and scheduled this shoot for her family. We had met long, long ago when we were both single, through a mutual friend. So, my bff from growing up is finally having another baby! I am so excited for her! Her youngest right now is already 9 so it will be fun to have one close to my boys:) She is being induced bright and early in the morning, so we took advantage of her being in town today and had a little mini shoot. A few weeks ago, we had the privelage of meeting TJ and Elizabeth. She was taking the Missionary Discussions in our home. They then decided that on the day of her baptism, they would also get married. It was small and sweet. We were so thankful to be a part of their day. To make the story even more special for me, in the course of conversation, TJ and I discovered that we are related. His great, great, great grandfather was William Thomas Stewart who is my Great, great Grandfather. At the baptism, I was able to meet his Grandfather, Wendall Stewart who's father was my grandfather's brother. The gospel truly brings us together in more ways than one. Here are a few pictures we snapped before and during their ceremony.

I was so excited when Kim was the winning bid from the "Help Garth" Auction. I have known her since she moved to Alamo from Ireland back in Jr. High! I have always loved the "Devine" girls. Over the Thanksgiving Holiday, we finally had a new Mason Family Picture taken. The last one was July of '06! James was just almost a year. Our family has GROWN since then. We have added 6 grandkids:) So, we knew it was well over due. Friday morning we gathered and had the best time. Usually family pictures are such a stressful thing. I was a little worried since I was kinda put in charge, but I can't even begin to describe how much fun we had. Everyone cooperated and I LOVE some of the shots we got. {especially for 19 kids 12 and under, 12 adults and a tripod} The background was perfect and so fallish! When we loaded up to leave, I seriously started to cry. I had so much love for each of my family members. There is nothing more precious in the world. We all have our differences, which makes it fun and exciting. So, even though it's not always expressed in words... I Love each of you! You are amazind and unique. I am so glad we have Eternity to spend together.

Meet the Schmidt's! Cutest couple. She is Chris' cousin whom we adore and the were married this summer. She told me they were sick of looking at wedding pictures! Too funny. So, we took a little trip out to Nelson. {thanks guys for being such good sports and being willing to drive} They wanted "rustic" or "western". I thought this was perfect. They sported their boots and personalities. You can tell they are so in love and still have the "newlywed" glow. Hope you like 'em!

Here are some pictures of my handsome cousin, his beautiful wife and two gorgeous children. We had fun trapsing around Wheeler farm. The colors were amazing. Matt was always my favorite cousin. We had so much fun as kids. I have only seen them a couple of times since Matt and Mandy got married...their wedding, grammy's funeral and maybe one other time-trajic! Through the wonderful world of blogging, Mandy and I have gotten to know each other and have found how much we have in common. She is one of the most amazingly talented people I know. Ever watch those DIY network shows? Yeah, Mandy would Rock the house in that! She does the most amazing projects and does them herself.
Since she is so talented, she just wanted the pics to play with in Photoshop herself. I askedif she wouldn't mind if I played too! Beautiful family!

I have the CUTEST nieces and nephews on the planet! A few weeks ago, while up in Saratoga Springs visiting my sister, we took advantage of our time and took some pics of the kids. They were so much fun to shoot. Especially the girls. Watch out Ramona! They're cute and THEY KNOW IT! Hahaha. Here "just a few"!

This weekend I had the opportunity to shoot the family of two people I went to High School with. It was seriously too much fun. At times I was laughing too hard to even shoot. We started out with three guys who were less than thrilled to be doing family pics, but by the time we were done, I think they all had a pretty good time! They came dressed how they normally dress which I loved! {It made it interesting with shadows from hats at times} I love pictures that look natural. So, because I know how hard it is to wait, here is a sneak peek:) Hope you like!

Last weekend I had the privelage of shooting the Nicks family. Mom is a good friend of my sisters and is the TALENTED Scrappin' Daisies over at Brownie Scraps. I have loved her work for so long and was so excited to meet her and her family. I think she thought I was joking when I told her it was like meeting a celebrity for me, but it really was. She is amazing and her family...WOW. So sweet. Cutest kids on the planet and they were all SO well behaved. Calico Basin happened to be photographer central AND a wedding. Get a load of this family! This was such a fun shoot. Cutest family, who are so in love with one another. Little K and K were sweethearts. Big sis could show her sassy side, then her sweet side. Lil bro has a special story of his own. When he was born, he had three holes in his heart and was scheduled to have surgery at only a few months old. Much to all the doctors surprise, he surpassed all of his marks and is doing Great! He is such a blessing. Mom and Dad loved on them and each other. They melted my heart. My computer totally died on me, and I have been DYING to post some pics of my good friend and her ADORABLE family. Seriously, I just want to steal her boys and take them home with me. They are the sweetest lil guys ever! Her boys are really into trains, so of course we went to some train tracks out by Boulder City. We had so much fun playing around. Okay, so this was the funnest shoot. We headed up to Calico Basin {which for some reason I had never been to} with the Foster Family...who just so happen to be one of the cutest families ever. The kids had so much fun running around and playing and Lil Miss B had no problem striking a pose anytime I asked her! Way too cute for own good:) The sky was overcast and we got a few sprinkles which made for perfect lighting and weather! So, because I know that worst part of having pics done, is waiting to see them, here is a sneak peek with SO many more to come...

I wanted to put a little spin on the "Old Back To School" pics and my SIL was game to offer up her kids! We went with a "Favorite Things" theme to mark the start of a new school year. I hope they will look back on these pictures and think about where they were and what they were into at that time. Here is a classic of the 4 kids...

There is nothing like a new baby. My dear friend and roommate on the mission{twice} recently had a sweet baby girl. Here are some of the shots we got when she was one week old. She was the sweetest little gal and slept through the ENTIRE shoot. What an angel!

Last week, I had the privelage of taking some pictures for a cute little dad and his two kids. They were the most beautiful kids. Big brown eyes that just melt your heart. They were a little uncertain with me throughout the shoot and didn't speak any English, so it was more of a challenge to get some candid, natural shots. I have decided to go ahead and jump in with both feet to this. I owe my amazing sister, Ramona a HUGE ThANK YOU for her support and mostly all her help in setting up my site. She did a beautiful job. I am so excited to go down this road. I feel like I look at life as if I'm looking through the lens of my camera. Everything has a story, every moment is worth preserving. I am excited for the adventure that lies ahead for all that I have to learn and experience. Photographers are amazing people. As I have studied and "stalked" other photographers, I am absolutely amazed at thier consistent generosity and willingness to share everything for the benefit of others. They are the most helpful friendly people. I am so grateful to each one that I have gleened some knowledge from in one way or another.
